It is time to sign up for Junior Great Books for the 2010-2011 school year. Junior Great Books is a fun and educational program. Students are divided into grade level groups and read a story and then have a text-based discussion with a parent group leader.
It is a great way to strengthen reading and critical thinking skills. We meet over the lunch hour for eight sessions starting in November. Sign up sheets and checks can be returned to school with your student.
Deadline for registration: Wednesday, September 8, 2010.

The Lincoln PTA Spirit Wear Committee has been working hard throughout the summer to source some of the coolest clothes for your Lincoln Lions!
Hooded sweatshirts, tie dye t-shirts, fleece and nylon jackets, hats, scarves, bags and water bottles just to name a few!!
Many of our items are in stock now, and for those that aren't, we will be placing an order at the end of August to expedite more items as soon as possible!
You can see the items in the convenient flyer and order form, or at the Opening Day Tea and the Pep Rally. We also have the items on view in our display case right inside the main school doors!
This Website is Moving...
Those of us here behind the scenes at the Lincoln PTA Website thought we would let you in on a little secret....
We're moving soon...actually we're in the process of moving right now!
All good things eventually come to an end, and so this website location will be shut down later this school year. The School District has offered us space within the Lincoln School website, and after careful consideration, we think it's a great move!!
We will be posting information on both websites while we're in the process of building the new site and calendar, so you will be able to get our latest and greatest news and dates at both sites for now.
The Lincoln School site already has a link to us under the "Parent Resources" drop down menu at the top if you'd like to get your bookmark in place. They will still keep their link to this site under the "Parent Links" section on the left of their page until we're all set. Or you can find our new site HERE.
Great news and great changes for the Lincoln PTA this year!
If you haven't done it already--please join the Lincoln PTA. The Membership form is right here for you to fill out. Included with your PTA Membership is a copy of the Lincoln School Directory. This is an invaluable resource that you'll use frequently throughout the school year.
Our Directory Committee is behind the scenes preparing the Directory for our members. We will be placing our order with the printer within the next several weeks. Due to budget constraints, we do not order extra copies of the Directory. This means if you want a copy of the Directory, we need your Membership forms turned in as soon as possible so we can order you a Directory from the printer.
Don't miss out on all the benefits of PTA Membership. Fill out and turn in your forms today. You can send them in your child's backpack, drop them in the school office, or mail them to our Membership Chair.
