Dear Parents, As you know, the quality of our teachers and support staff makes Lincoln a special place for our children. The PTA Appreciation Committee is planning an Appreciation Luncheon to recognize the efforts and commitment of our teachers and support staff to the education and growth of our children. The luncheon will be held during Appreciation Week: May 4-8, 2009. Comments from you: To make this festivity memorable, we request your help in recognizing the teachers and support staff. Please provide appreciative comments about the teachers and support staff involved in your children’s education. We encourage you to involve your children in the process. These comments will be presented in a creative fashion as a keepsake for each member of the Lincoln faculty and staff. Please don’t forget to provide comments for aides or specials teachers (art, music, gym, etc.) or anyone who helps your child in some way. Please see the e-mail that was recently sent regarding the Appreciation Luncheon, or your Lincoln Directory if you need a listing of all Lincoln teachers and staff. . Written comments submitted on paper can be sent to school with your child, turned in to the teacher and routed to a central collection envelope in the office.
Artwork or poetry: If children have any drawings or poems representing their appreciation, we will make every effort to use them in the keepsake books. Generic work (not mentioning any teacher or staff member by name) is preferred so a copy of the work can be used in everyone’s keepsake book. Use any of the three options above to submit. Please submit all comments, artwork and/or poetry by: Monday, April 27, 2009. We are excited about this opportunity to express thanks and appreciation to our dedicated teachers and support staff.
