SERG is the Special Education Resource Group, a PTA Council Organization serving families of children with special needs in District 205. SERG was formed in response to the growing needs of parents of children with special educational needs. SERG is a resource, network, and support group which:
Sponsors informative programs for parents and educators on a variety of topics related to Special Education
Provides educational resources to parents and educators
Networks parents with similar Special Education interests
Publishes and circulates an informative newsletter
When is it?
A Lincoln PTA member serves as a representative on the SERG PTA Committee and attends their meetings. They are then responsible for providing updates to the Lincoln PTA.
Volunteers needed?
A representative to attend meetings and bring SERG information to the Lincoln PTA.
How much time does it take?
Several hours per month to attend the SERG meeting and the Lincoln PTA meeting.
